I MIGHT be back... Generous Arnold Schwarzenegger casts his eye over luxury jeep as he shops for daughter Katherine's birthday.

He was last spotted cutting a rather unlikely figure at a local rodeo tournament, where his childlike antics on a mechanical horse undermined his tough guy persona. 

But with the fun over, Arnold Schwarzenegger was spotted browsing the wares outside a local Chrysler garage – where one vehicle in particular appeared to catch his eye. 

Indeed, the former bodybuilder was hefting his large wallet in the direction of a smart looking Wrangler Rubicon jeep.

With his receding coif lightly brushed across his head, Arnie gazed intently at the black 4x4 while a pal checked out the interior during a trip to the Santa Monica garage over the weekend.

The 66-year-old Austrian was considering the purchase for oldest child Katherine – who celebrated her24th birthday on December 13. 

Arnie appeared to be deep in thought as he strolled around the powerful car, described by Chrysler as ‘a tough authentic legend born to rule the trails and the open road’ – perfect for the rugged, hilly terrain surrounding Los Angeles.

Retailing at around $25,995, the vehicle doesn’t come cheap – but with a conservatively estimated personal fortune of $100-$200 million it should be a drop in the ocean to the former Governor of California. 

Katherine, the first of four children with journalist and author Maria Shriver, has attempted to carve out a career as an author in her own right with the publication of self-help book Rock What You’ve Got: Secrets To Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty From Someone Who’s Been There And Back, in 2010. 

Earlier this year the attractive brunette also launched a new lifestyle website, KatherineSchwarzenegger.com – used to promote healthy living and balanced diets, the kind of subjects health conscious Arnie would no doubt have a vested interest in.
